Oliver Johnson, who is a volunteer for Harrogate Hospital Radio, has been appointed Publicity Officer, following a ballot at their Annual General Meeting on 25th March 2024.

Mark Oldfield, Chair of Harrogate Hospital Radio said: ‘’ I am delighted to welcome Oliver to the role, I am sure he will make a constructive contribution to the existing committee. I am confident he will do a very good job in continuing to build an already strong relationship with the management, staff and patients at Harrogate District Foundation Trust, as well as current and future sponsors and businesses within Harrogate and the surrounding area.

Harrogate Hospital Radio provides entertainment on 95.3FM, online, on their free app and on your smart speaker to patients, staff, and visitors of Harrogate District Hospital. The charity, having formed in 1977, are now 47 years old. Harrogate Hospital Radio is a Registered Charity (No. 507137), wholly voluntary led and rely on fundraising and
donations to provide their service.

Oliver said: ‘’Alongside my weekly live broadcasting show – I’m really pleased to have been successfully appointed to this new role. I have lived in Harrogate all my life and I see how much Harrogate Hospital Radio means to our patients, staff, and visitors.’
