I joined Harrogate Hospital Radio in 2013, after a break of some thirty years since my early broadcasting days on Hospital Radio Chelmsford. Whilst the technology may have changed a little, I’m happy to say that I still get the same thrill at being able to present on the radio, and I have met some fantastically dedicated and fun people along the way, who make Harrogate Hospital Radio such a great team to be part of.
I currently present a weekly show based around news and music of this week in years gone by called Backtrax, and enjoy helping out on request shows and generally where the opportunity or need arises. I am now presenting Mellow Magic on a Tueday evening at 7pm. As I approach the end of a career in the public sector, I look forward to having more time on my hands and the chance to work on one or two other ideas that I have for future shows.
Away from Hospital Radio, I am married with a small family. I moved to Harrogate 16 years ago, having previously spent much of my life in and around London. I have a life long fascination with anything to do with cars, aviation and have a secret passion for club music from the seventies and eighties (undoubtedly the result of a misspent youth!)
