Local poet and writer Alan Barker joined Mark Field in the studios to chat about his book ‘I’m so proud to be English’ his recollections of seven decades of nostalgia,laughter, tears and much happiness. Wonderful Victorian parents, with teachings of discipline and honesty.

Alan has also written a series of poems called ‘Reasons for Rhyme’ in aid of the nurses at the Sir Robert Ogden Centre here at Harrogate District Hospital
